And it was more good news for Jaguar Land Rover as Land Rover was rated the most improved brand in 2013, jumping in to the top ten (in 6th place) for the first time, with Freelander owners noting an improved dealer experience and Discovery owners reporting 30 per cent fewer faults – and actually leading the SUV sector for reliability. Mercedes-Benz has released a promo video for the SL 65 AMG 45th Anniversary model giving grown men permission to cry. The 2012 Mercedes SL does look to offer far more for the driver than any SL that’s gone before, and the range-topping SL 65 promises to be a proper supercar. Mercedes are kicking off the SL65 with the Mercedes SL 65 AMG 45th Anniversary Edition, built to celebrate 45 years of AMG, which offers extra goodies over and above the already well specced SL 65.
Toyota & Lexus open eBay Stores for parts and accessories
Toyota has taken both the Toyota and Lexus brand in to the world’s biggest marketplace – eBay – with new Lexus and Toyota stores designed to supply genuine parts and accessories to a wider audience. Toyota say that the new eBay Stores are designed to complement the existing dealer network supply of parts and accessories, and the prices charged will be the same as a dealer. What the eBay stores will do, however, is offer parts and accessories for older Toyota and Lexus cars – up to eight years old – which Toyota say will reach a wider audience than their dealers manage.
